My friend Meg had a great idea to do a quick late-summer (i.e. rainy season) camping trip to Seward, Alaska.
I love this little town. It was super rainy at times…
But it wasn't pouring like it can down there. I like to dream about owning a building & business in Seward, especially when I see things like this one for sale…
Of course my favorite place is the Resurrect Art & Coffee House in an old church…
That balcony up top is a great place to hang out.
And, as the name suggests – they always have art on display and for sale too.
It was sort of a city-girl version of camping. We did sleep in a tent, but we spent most of our time window shopping and visited a couple of favorite restaurants. Out of the window of Christos, where we went for dinner, we spied this quirky local taxi:
Christos is right across the street from the Alaska SeaLife Center. The side of the restaurant is painted with this scene…
This is just one of may public art pieces painted around the little town. Nice. 🙂
Out on the beach at Millers Landing (where we camped) we left our own little rock and seaweed art…
It was nice just walking around enjoying the town.
