Recently I became fascinated with tooled leather…bags, book covers, belts, etc. So last evening–after watching many, many videos on the topic on youtube–I stopped at a local leather supply store and bought some tools to try it. This is my very first attempt and I'm so happy with how well it works!
The fork-looking tool is for stamping out holes so you can stitch two pieces together. The funny little tool next to it is a swivel knife used for carving in the basic outline of the pattern. The other handful of metal there are the various tools used for stamping out the details that make the image stand out.
Looking forward to practicing and making my first full project. 🙂
