Friday evening was Art Open House at the home of my friends Meg & Zach. It was the first time I've shown my paintings in public and it was so fun! We had just the right size turn-out and a wonderful mix of family, old friends and now new friends. Thanks so much to everybody that came, and especially to Meg & Zach for welcoming us all in for the evening.
In case you missed the little invite that's been hanging out on side of my blog for the last few weeks, this is what we had printed to hand out:
It was a 5×7" double sided invitation & although you can't tell from the photo, it had rounded corners – a detail I love. They were printed by Overnight Prints and I was really happy with the quality. One funny thing though – they may be called "overnight" prints…but I think they prefer not to kick out orders quite that fast. To truly get my postcards overnight, the charge would have been an extra $100+ dollars. The regular non-rush price was quite reasonable though.
Anyway, I came home from the evening very inspired to paint. :) Which bring us back to the the girl at the top of this post and her cute little apron…
I imagine she's ready to bake some scrumptious cupcakes…with love, of course!
