Thanks, Gloria 🙂

Kreative_53 Last February I was lucky enough to attend Art Nest {a creative retreat
} for my 40th birthday.  I had high hopes that it would be an amazing
experience & that I would learn some new art techniques ~ it was & I did.  But what I did not anticipate were some of the
lasting friendships that would come from the trip!  Gloria
is one of the amazing, beautiful women that I met & have kept in
touch with through our blogs.  I was so thrilled when I received her
note that she had given me this Kreative Blogger award!  I read her
blog almost every day and am always inspired by her talent, heart &
strength.  I hope to see her and her Dad visiting Alaska one day.  🙂

So, in order to accept this award the directions were as follows:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.  (check!)
2. Copy the logo & place it on your blog. (Kind of check…I had to tweak it a little.  Put my own creative spin on it, ya know?  Hope that's ok!  :)  To find the original, click here.)
3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.  (check!)
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.  (coming soon)
5. Nominate 7 Kreative Bloggers & post links to their blogs.  (check & check!  see below)
6. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they have been nominated. (workin' on it)

7 Favorite Blogs

All of these blogs captured my attention to the extent that I ended up finding the very beginning of the posts and reading all the way up through to current.  In a few cases, that took quite awhile!  Like reading really good books with lots of pictures.

Bonus blog:  My friend Meg, whom I've mentioned a lot here, has a really cool blog called Today I Tried.  It's just what it sounds like…a place where she posts the new things she tries each day.  Sometimes something creative, sometimes a new food, all kinds of things.  One of my favorite posts was "today I tried holding my tongue"!   For a girl with opinions, (she & I are kindred spirits in that way) that must have been a challenge.  :)  Anyway, I love the concept for the blog – a reminder to keep learning and growing.

So what I tried today was coming up with 7 things about me for this post.   Or 7 interesting things, rather.   Still working on it.  What did you try today?
