Buttons

My table's been taken over!  For awhile now I've been wanting to make button flowers.  This seemed to be a good weekend for it since JoAnn Fabrics was having a 50% off button sale.  🙂

I started out by attaching silk flower pedals to some felt and sewing the buttons to the front.
But they didn't quite have the look I wanted.  So I played around with little stacks until I found some that looked right…
…and threaded florist's wire through for stems.  Now my bouquet is starting to come together!
I especially like the bee that landed on this bloom:
