Crabby, revised.

Whole_1794
Words_1781 Using some photos I took at the Oregon coast last year, this girl ended up expressing her crabbier self.  {Although her face doesn't look grumpy, so maybe the mood was just passing…}

The detail in the middle of her dress…

Oh, and speaking of crabby women ~ Mother Nature is having a go at Alaska.  That volcano I mentioned a few weeks ago finally went off!  6 times in the last 48 hours.  There's a map here that shows where it is in relation to Anchorage {where I am}.  The Alaska Volcano Observatory has us all on alert for ash fall, but so far it's all blown into mostly unpopulated areas.  Amazing really, how incisive the wind currents can be.

I hope it will go back to sleep soon, but last time this mountain blew it kept erupting off and on for 5 months!  There's no dramatic lava flow to speak of, but the ash is a pain in the booty to deal with.  Home Depot has been open 24 hours to sell dust masks ~ you really don't want to breath in volcanic ash.  It's hard on lungs, car engines, computers, any electronics really + it just seems to stick around forever once it lands.

Oh, here's another thing…the first plumes went up 50 to 60 thousand feet, so many commercial airlines had to cancel flights.   Volcanic ash has the insidious power to pretty much stop airplane engines.   One pilot on the radio this morning likened flying into an ash cloud with flying into a sand blaster.  Glad I got back from Baltimore before all this started!

Hope all is quiet in your corner of the world.  🙂

♥  Ok, check back tomorrow for a little surprise!
{was going to post it tonight, but this entry's already too long…}
