After weeks of sub-zero temperatures, it warmed waaay up and is raining now. Crazy. The roads are so slick that all the schools and many businesses are closed – including my workplace. So it's an unexpected free day!
I plan to make it Art Day. :o)
Before I make my mocha and get back to painting, I wanted to post the list I've been working on. I could keep tweaking it forever & be more bold in some of my intentions…but this will work for a start:
Things to Do or Experience in 2009
- Let go of expectations about how life should go, so I can enjoy seeing where it takes me.
- Learn how to knit a scarf. (Received this cool kit for Christmas.)
- Make Valentines Day sugar cookies & Valentines cards.
- Leave comments on the blogs I read & love instead of just “lurking”.
- Mow my lawn.
- Order Moo cards.
- Enjoy fires in my backyard fire pit.
- Start an Art Night group.
- Stay open to possibilities. Good things could be right around the corner!
- Ride my cute bicycle to the grocery store (that’s what the basket is for, right?)
- Practice patience (with myself, with how life is unfolding…)
- Find an art community of like-minded women.
- Travel. (In a small plane, car, boat, hot air balloon, jet…adventure of any kind!)
- Practice my soldering.
- More love, less fear.
- Go camping.
- Make my Sew Liberated apron.
- Grill something outside at least once this summer.
- Dream big and do something about my dreams.
- Attend an art retreat.
- Visit Homer, Alaska (it’s been too long!)
- Redesign my website/blog & etsy store.
- More romance! ♥♥♥
