The basics of any good cookie! I’m only making the dough tonight. Tomorrow, I bake up a huge batch of sugar cookies to decorate with friends.

The Switchboards is a non-profit organization founded in March 2004 to support and publicize creative women in business through the use of an online community forum, product displays, mutual links and joint advertising.
I’ve only dipped a toe in the water there so far, but found some great articles. It’s always so nice when creative women are willing to share what they’ve learned along the way. On that topic, I’m also enjoying the blogs of these women:
Jane Brocket – she’s currently on a little hiatus from blogging, but looking back through all the older posts is wonderful. And I found her blog from reading back through Betz White’s site. And Betz, if you haven’t heard, has just had a book published! I think it will be released officially on Saturday (? don’t quote me on that), but she has some signed copies available now at her shop. What could be better? Maybe because I love books in general, but I think having one published is just the bees knees! Congrats, Cupcake Lady. 🙂
