Experimenting {& a give-away reminder!}
I ran into a technical glitch with the large canvas I'm working on, so it was back to the proverbial drawing board! Sometimes problem solving gets in the way of creating, but I enjoy the process. I'm working on different ways to best adhere leaves to a canvas. Tonight I wanted to see how

Peep Peep!
My poor painting table sits temporarily abandoned as Easter projects take over! I spent the evening making chocolate dipped peeps. :) So much fun & yummy too. This would be a really easy project to do with kids. I used Wilton Candy Melts because you don't have to temper the chocolate, it always dries shiny

Chocolate Bunny? Check!
Once I added bunnies, the baskets came together just right. I don't usually use the cellophane bag wrappers, but for these particular baskets I like how fancy & finished it makes them look. The little feather & glitter butterflies were the perfect toppers… I hope the girls will have as much fun unwrapping them as

A New Shop
Have you heard of this? I started hearing more and more references to Art Fire on different blogs, so I finally checked it out. It's an online store {competing with Etsy actually}. Crabby, revised.
Using some photos I took at the Oregon coast last year, this girl ended up expressing her crabbier self. {Although her face doesn't look grumpy, so maybe the mood was just passing…} The detail in the middle of her dress… and her arms, come from these images: Oh, and speaking of crabby women ~ Mother

Kinda Sketchy
Not bad, eh? I can never seem to draw an owl I'm happy with, but I think this one's quirky-in-a-good way. I've got a BIG canvas in the works right now and was going to show it in progress, but I'm having a hard time photographing it. Might have to pull out the strobe lights

Chit-Chat at the Golden West
Last night I was lucky enough to get together with Jane & her husband Thomas. It was so good to see Jane again after our Art Nest experience! They took me to the Golden West Cafe {above} in the Hampden area of Baltimore. Wonderful food – I had a burger topped with Granny Smith apple
