Bee Art & Coffee

This is McCafferty's ~ my favorite coffee house in Fairbanks and always my first stop in the morning when I visit. 

I'm actually sitting at the airport right now {just on my way back to Anchorage} but wanted to show you a piece of art that lives in the window of McCafferty's before I forget.  I've always loved this…
It's so beautiful to me.  In the closer-up photo below you can see that it's made mostly from beehives, with a Birch bark bodice.   Lovely I think, and so creative.  I wonder how long it took to collect all those natural hives?
Ok, my plane is boarding…gotta go!  🙂
