Bird Break
I'm supposed to be working on the midterm for my Criminal Justice class, but I just had to take a break and make a bird. :) Ok, time to get back to work. ~ k

Felt Pins (brooches?)
Brooch always seems like a funny word to me. :) I have a TON of felted sweaters but I'm never sure what to make from them. I was looking around for ideas and found the flower directions from Betz White, who is the queen of all things felty. The wooden button in the middle seemed

Details

Love those wool felt wings with their pink, blanket stitch edging. :) For scale in this photo, I have it sitting {appropriately} on top of a 3×3" canvas I bought from Julie

Inspired by…
On this very chilly Alaska night, I was at a bit of a loss for what to do. There was an interesting, but depressing show on PBS about the dust bowl years of the 1930's. The book I'm reading is kind of a downer about the psychological cost of creating soldiers & sending them off
