Fun Crafty Bits

  • From Head to Toe

It all started with plans to be in L.A. this weekend.  My friend Meg and I had tickets to zip down to California for a weekend class called Exploration of Millinery:  Sculptural Straw Hats.  Meg and her husband have been waiting to adopt a baby, which is a bit of an emotional roller coaster.  Taking

  • Birthday Party 🙂

Isn't this a beautiful space?  Friday was my 42nd birthday so my friend Meg threw me a party at her home.  I had found these little cupcake toppers and thought they were so cute… But Meg thought we could have fun making our own birdie cupcake toppers.  Sounded like a great idea to me!  I

As summer inches closer, my mind turns to camping.  Since I can't quite go yet (snowing today!) I thought I'd do some camping art.  Take a look at the fun things

  • Easter Delivery

Preparing some little Easter goodies for my co-workers.  These were so fun and simple to put together!  I started with the muslin gift bags from Flirtdeux shop on Etsy.  Then just tucked in a bit of pale pink paper Easter grass and a chocolate bunny.  The tags are made from images downloaded from Vintage Images

  • Paper Egg

Ok, not entirely paper.  It's actually a plastic egg, but covered with sheet music.  Kind of gives a paper mache effect, right?  After covering the egg (using mat gel medium for the adhesive) I went around the opening with an exacto blade so it can still be opened.  Just big enough to hide this chick
