Baking with Love & an Art Party
Friday evening was Art Open House at the home of my friends Meg & Zach. It was the first time I've shown my paintings in public and it was so fun! We had just the right size turn-out and a wonderful mix of family, old friends and now new friends. Thanks so much to everybody

Mushrooms in Multiples
It all started with one little mushroom drawing. The shape really appealed to me, so I just kept going. These are all 5×5" canvases. As summer inches closer, my mind turns to camping. Since I can't quite go yet (snowing today!) I thought I'd do some camping art. Take a look at the fun things

Easter Delivery
Preparing some little Easter goodies for my co-workers. These were so fun and simple to put together! I started with the muslin gift bags from Flirtdeux shop on Etsy. Then just tucked in a bit of pale pink paper Easter grass and a chocolate bunny. The tags are made from images downloaded from Vintage Images

Wedding Buttons
I spent the holiday weekend celebrating with my friends at their wedding! The weather was perfect -a relief since the ceremony and reception were both outside. Fancy Flours
It's like Christmas all over again! After a couple months of ooo-ing and aw-ing and circling things in the Fancy Flours catalog – I finally narrowed it down enough to place an order. Look how nicely they package things:Now that's how it should be done! Fancy indeed. Here's a little peek at what came in

-20 and holding + some new art supplies
I spoke too soon a couple days ago when I was whining about the -10 temps. It keeps getting colder! But with this weather comes some beautiful sights. Every branch of every tree, all the phone & electric lines, the light posts, mailboxes – pretty much every thing standing still – is covered with tiny

Inspiration
These two books have really been getting me by lately and I recommend them to anyone in need of a creative boost. The first: Taking Flight by Kelly Rae Roberts. I don't know where to start praising this one! In part, it's a great "how-to" book from which I learned some handy new techniques. But
