Not that we need anymore cookies after the holiday indulgence. But tonight we decided to make just one more batch. :) Love these chewy chocolate cookies. They manage to be both fudgy (sp?) & kinda light. Yum!
Other than baking this evening, I've been working on several paintings. I have quite a few in-progress that I really want to show you, but they'll be part of my show at a local coffee shop in February. I'm new to showing my work in public (other than here on my blog) but something tells me I shouldn't preview everything before it officially hangs. Still deciding on a title, but I'm tentatively going to call the show (appropriately enough for the venue) "Coffee With Friends". I'm happy with how it's all coming together on the whole, but I wish I was a technically more accomplished painter. I found this quote that sums it up well:

Oh well. All I can do is what I am doing…practice, practice, practice. Maybe one day the gap between my vision & my work will be more slim! 🙂
