Had fun today painting this girl on an 8×10" canvas. The words in the corner say "Letting go".
With the temperatures hanging at around zero, staying inside to paint seemed pretty inviting this weekend.
The cold temps do tend to go hand-in-hand with clear skies though, which made for a gorgeous view of Anchorage on Friday afternoon… There's my city nestled between the mountains & Cook Inlet. Chilly, but nice. 🙂
Oh, one more bit of randomness…it was so cold that I had to evacuate my chickens from their coop for awhile so I could make some improvements. Let me tell you ~ to quote an old Saturday Night Live skit…"chicken make lousy house pet!" The girls are cute, but phew! Stinky! {All 3 are in there. I think Camilla had nested down in the back.} A couple hours later, they were returned to their home which had warmed up by 15 degrees. Amazing what a bit of strategically placed insulation can do.
I thought they were pretty well set out there, but I had neglected the
floor & the cold was coming right up through it. I didn't want their tootsies to be cold!
