I know, a little out of season right? :) I decided today that I wanted to plan an "Art Night" at my house this October with a Day of the Dead theme. But I needed something to put on the invitation, so I stopped by Michael's and yep – they had just what I was looking for – a paper mache skull. It started out just craft-paper-brown. I painted it black to begin with, then out came the colors.
I've been just working on paintings for an art opening next week, so it was nice to make something totally unrelated this evening. I needed some play time as opposed to gotta-get-it-done-by-a-deadline time. This was just messy fun. I didn't think too much about it or worry about making it "just right".
My daughter thinks her Spanish teacher will like it. 🙂
Ok, tomorrow….back to the regularly scheduled programming. I've got Miss Muffet done & ready to show you!
