Gingerbread House

Still picking away at finishing my Hansel & Grethel painting.  It's funny, I always pictured the witches' house as made out of gingerbread & covered with candy.  But here's the description from the story,

"…the house was built of bread, and roofed with cakes; and the window was
of transparent sugar."

That's all the detail given so I guess I filled in the rest from my imagination & from other pop culture versions.  This is a combo then of the more simple house from the story & my candy covered notion.  Within the 20×20" canvas, the house only takes up about 3" so I only added detail that I thought could be seen well with in the rest of the painting.

That's all I've got for tonight, but soon I'll have some fun news to share!  By the end of the month for sure, but maybe sooner.  There could just be a give away involved so do check back.  :o)
