When my daughter asked me why I had put lemons in the branches of the not-yet-leafy tree in our front yard, I told her I was making lemonade. I'm sure she (and the neighbors) thought I was a little crazy.
No, it's not even a citrus tree since we're a bit too far north for that. So what the heck, right? This was my response to a day when "life gave me lemons". In other words – a disappointing kind of day.
I came home upset & trying to decide how (and whether) to talk
about it on my blog. I like to keep things upbeat here and have
learned that when I'm stewing…probably not the best time to rant in
public. In an effort to channel my frustration in a positive or
creative way, I grabbed the bag of lemons from the fridge and went
outside for a little photo shoot.
Update 5/4/10: The thing that was bothering me…kind of fixed now. Plus, now I have all these lemon photos that I really like. 🙂
