I'm enjoying two weeks off of my day job, mostly spent painting for my show coming up in February. This girl is on a 16×20" canvas – mostly done with oil paints and she's the first painting I've done with no texture or layers on the canvas…just paint and my imagination. :) I love the silky texture of the oils and how I can keep blending & playing without them drying out. I'm sure I'll still use acrylics for a lot of things, but for hair and skin tone I think I'll stick with oil paints.

Now thats bold moving on to oil paints. One medium I have never been able to get the hang of . But yes there are so smooth in texture. Your back ground really shows how wonderful they are to play with. Boy her eyes just sparkle right at me
