  • Ostrich Girl

I had the idea for her while driving a few days ago.  Funny, isn’t she?  I don’t know where these images come from, but I’m glad to receive them!   So fun to "see" an idea like this in my head and then be happy with how it comes out on paper.  (or clay, or which

  • Once

Have you seen this movie?  It's such a quiet (unassuming) film.  It really snuck up on me.  I wanted to mention it here because it definitely falls into the category of all things creative and inspiring.  The first scene in which you see the main characters (played by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova) sing/play together

  • Matilda in 3D

I liked my little ice-cream-hair girl so much that I’m working on clay version of her. I usually make the whole thing – eyes included – out of clay and just paint the details.  This time I’m trying some doll eyes in her.  Who knew it would be so hard to get them to face

  • April showers?

Isn’t it suppose to be raining this time of year…bringing May flowers and all that?  What’s with the snow?! Yesterday we had a totally unusual (for April 25th) snow storm that left us with about 15+ inches on the ground.  Very pretty, but so much for getting the bicycles out this weekend!  🙂

  • Matilda

French vanilla or strawberry….either way, her hair looks like soft-serve ice cream, right?  She’s my favorite girl right now.  Possibly because she my most recent.  Does that happen to you?  Where your current project always seems like the very best?  Ha…I guess you could say she’s the flavor of the week!  Silly, I know.  :o)

  • Mouse House

There’s nobody living inside yet, but it looks like cozy real estate doesn’t it? To give credit where it’s due, this mushroom/house wasn’t my original idea.  I was inspired by Kelley at Little Elfs Toyshop on Etsy.  Check out her Bunny house and her Mouse house.  So cute!  I love those little mouse ears in

  • Deer Girl

I collected a few smallish (about 2×3′) pallets last summer that were being tossed out.  I knew they would be great for some type of project, but it wasn’t until this weekend that I decided to use one as a canvas for my Deer Girl.  I started by dragging it out into the snow to

  • Minister of Natural Resources

I was looking through some CD’s of images and found these of my "nature guy" as I usually refer to him.  I had intended to make a body for him at some point, and still may.  But I kind of like him just like this too.  He lives atop a handmade glass mug on my

  • Duck!

Not only a duck, but… a duck in a tub!  I found these cute mini-wash tubs at Michaels and decided one of them should be a hot tub for this little needle-felted guy. I like those little toes sticking over the edge. :o) Another of the tubs became a great pin cushion.  I just weighted
